An in-depth course on the nutrient density of avocados and their potential benefits. I enjoyed having course material that I can complete with the course workbook followed by the external links and activity questions. I have a better understanding of the different varieties and now I want to try growing my own! I gained additional information regarding how avocados are grown and the exposure to how they are grown can help others who are wanting to become more resourceful in their gardens. I’ve been able to learn and implement ways healthy fats can fit into a healthy lifestyle. I can provide clients with a better understanding of how they can incorporate avocados as a replacement for less healthy fats while also providing benefits to their health. I will apply the knowledge from this course by giving people a healthier alternative to fats that are commonly found in their diets. For those that aren’t as familiar with avocados, it gives some good ideas on how to incorporate them. From the nutrient density to the unique way that avocado trees pollinate there was a lot of great information and reinforcement on topics. (From the Avocados – All You Need To Know Course)

All the information about the history of this wonderful and natural wonder Avocado opened my mind and enriched my knowledge about the benefits of this nutritional fruit. I chose this course for my continuing education because actually I made this fruit product a major part of my lifestyle diet. And I wanted to know more about how it helps my health and how better I could consume it to benefit my energy level for a long time to come. I can share all the knowledge I got about what I have learned with my clients my friends and family members. I will definitely integrate it into my curriculum of teaching and apply it to the nutrition plans of my yoga and tennis students as part of my current target segment. As I managed their fitness program I can also manage their eating habits and bring additional value to their healthy diet. I always find GMP Fitness courses interesting and fun. Thank you for doing such a good job of providing helpful and valuable subjects relevant to our profession. (From the Avocados – All You Need To Know Course)

These classes are well organized, have an abundant amount of information and have great links to other reference materials. This course reinforces my statements when I tell clients to monitor their consumption of sugar and that high fructose corn syrup has replaced sugar in food and it’s much worse than sugar. Also, I strongly suggest they my clients read food labels and take notes on how much trans-fats are in the food and snacks they eat. I will insist that my clients record the fats on the food labels when they go grocery shopping(From the Sugar – What’s In Your Foods Course)

This helped open my eyes to how much sugar is in my food. It was nice seeing numbers/amounts attached to the information. It helped reinforce the need to watch food labels to cut back on sugar consumption. I will continue to monitor what I eat and limit processed foods. I will help teach others the effect sugar has on each of us as an individual and a society as a whole. (From the Sugar – What’s In Your Foods Course)

I learned there are many more herbs than I thought and have medicinal benefits. I can suggest my clients try an herb to help with issues before beginning or in addition to medications. Of course, the dr. knows best, but if my client had some of these articles, they could learn to help themselves. (From the Healthy Herbs – Powerful Benefits Course)

When they say “Hidden Ingredients” – they really mean hidden! When I read food labels, i thought i somewhat understood what was in my food. This gave me a new perspective. People are always asking – is this healthy? what foods should i avoid? Being able to direct my client to the on-line resources provided is exciting. I don’t want to give them false info or have them misunderstand what i am saying, having them read it for themselves, from a reliable source is perfect.
